Anyone know what type of tree this is? I’m wanting to get a cutting but I need to know what it is to research best practice on how to do it with it specifically. Or if it can even be used as a cutting.

Also since it’s budding is this too late? It’s a really cold April this year, just had four inches of snow (that melted) so it’s definitely an atypical spring for us.

Looks like serviceberry.
Thank you! Doesn't look like there is a good way to grow roots from a branch cuttings from what I've read. They prefer root cuttings or suckers. Didn't find any good material to do that on. Oh well, but at least I know what they are now so thanks!

I’m still not 100% on serviceberry.
Checked into its native range of habitat, and Washington State is to far west. 🤷‍♂️

I would take 6 cuttings. Place 3 in water and 3 in soil and try. Who knows one may root. Not really going to cost you anything.
