It's getting close to that time of year again where we go on a mass buying spree for cuttings that we will use as future field stock. Although its not quite season yet, we're starting with sourcing early this year as we have a huge field to fill this year, 4 acres compared to our usual acre or two a year (photo attached). We will begin buying in February, but want to get word out now as we like to get material from as many different sources as possible for genetic diversity, which is why we avoid liner suppliers.

Species we are looking for this year;

Chinese Juniper cultivars: Shimpaku, Kishu, Itoigawa
Hinoki Cypress: Dwarf, Sekka
Trident Maple: Show us what you have, we're looking for diversity and different traits
Japanese Flowering Cherry

Were opening to discussing other cuttings you would be willing to sell so long as they are hardy to zone 4-5. We experiment quite a bit with things throughout the year but we are primarily interested in cuttings from the 4 listed above.

It doesn't matter if its 5, 10, or a garbage bag full of cuttings we will buy as little as a small flat rate box, up to a pallet. We need roughly 3,000 cuttings per acre of field we want to fill so all in all we are looking to buy 12,0000 cuttings this season.

Cuttings must be shipped fresh, or dormant. Roots not required if they are fresh cuttings.

Price for your cuttings is negotiable, the better the quality and size, the more we will pay.

If you dont have any cuttings coming up this year to sell, but would be interested in helping us reach our target while helping some of your friends that may have cuttings this year make a little money to support their hobby, we have made a facebook post on our page.

If you could share it, it would be greatly appreciated. We can use all the help we can get in getting word out there this year.

Thanks !

Still buying, remember, roots are not necessary as long as they are shipped as fresh cuttings wrapped in wet paper. This is a good opportunity for you to turn your trash into cash to support your bonsai addiction.
