How long should I keep the cuttings under the plastic dome when using bottom heat, this is my first time n im having fungus issues.thanks

Are they pushing new growth? If so, you should begin to "harden them off" by gradually exposing them to air for ever longer periods of time. Too fast and they will die from drying out, too slow and they will die from "damping off".

If your dome is getting a lot of water on it after replacing it then dry the dome and replace it. You can also begin by propping up your dome by an inch for a few minutes. This is why I like the domes with the vent.

I have a couple elm cuttings in my tropical aquarium right now. my situation is a bit different and you've been good advice. My intuition was to open up and air it out at night when the leaves don't need to transpire and because the humidity tends to rise when the temperature drops for some reason according to my cheap electronic humidity meter.
