I just love dawn redwoods so I decided to put several of them into a forest planting last spring. I think the trees established well in their new pot. Here they are now and have grown vigorously.

Any comments and tips on how tall should I keep them?

When deciding height try to think in scale. The deer look about right for the thickness of those trunks but those trees must be hundreds of feet tall.
Reducing height also changes the perception of trunk thickness. The same tree cut shorter will always appear to be thicker.
When pruning for height always allow for regrowth. Trees rarely grow shorter after pruning.
