Dawn RedWood needs chopped

I bought this dawn redwood about 5 years ago and put it in the ground to grow. I want to chop it this year. The base at it's widest point is about 8" in diameter. What would be a good height to chop at this point to allow the new growth to help create taper. I would think the final tree would be between 36 & 48 inches. At around 2 feet up the trunk diameter is about 4 inches. Thanks
