Hi all.
I have, as per the attached photo, a root from a bougainvillea trunk which is rotten at the point of entering the soil. Am I right in that I should cut this out, carve back to clean wood further up, and apply paste, or would it not be recommended to use paste in an area around the trunk where moisture is high? There arent further signs of root rot, and so would it be suitable to let this die back naturally and seal over, or is this asking for trouble?
Many thanks!
