Got 6 more flower buds still moving, but this is about as good as the bloomage is gonna get this year.

It's a Griard's Crimson.

I wanted to ask @Mellow Mullet or anyone else who may be an Azalea guru... I should have taken pictures, but I didn't...I had several flower buds just die off before opening at all, they were still in their positions, and I poked them and they fell right off, and were dry.
What would cause this???
It was about 5 flower buds that did this...
Any ideas???

Enjoy ?

@Stickroot aren't you around there too? Any ideas?

You tagged John,he may know...he is the azalea king. Hope you find out why they did that.
Thanks Darlene!
I would have tagged Johng, but he's been tagged a bunch lately, people asking about him...
I think he's on to greener pastures... unfortunately for all of us.
I learned a lot from him.

Bud blast possibly, fungicide is needed, I find that kobai is especially susceptible to this.
