That close up of the needles is pretty telling IMO. As I walked past my own trees in the garage tonight, I had to stop and closely examine my own JBP needles out of curiosity. Id say the ones in the picture definitely look a bit dried out by comparison. :(

There is also another thing that I neglected to mention: Look at the buds? There seems to be none. Usually a living tree will be evidenced by the presence of healthy buds. Without healthy buds it is almost impossible for a tree to produce new growth.
