defoliating jasmine/ leaf reduction?

I was wondering if anyone knows if, and/or when to defoliate jasmine? Ill post a picture of it

The leaves will reduce fairly well if you allow the pot to get quite rootbound. I don't think I'd defoliate.

So do I just clip of the bigger ones each year or is it common to defoliate them?

Just be patient.

I have never defoliated mine. I suspect you'd end up with a long skinny branch with new leaves on the tips, and a lot of viny new shoots from the trunk, roots and everywhere else.

These are aggressive vines. They react much differently than other plants do.

Leaves WILL reduce on their own, given time.
