A nice, warm place indoors and additional lights. (we will probably be skating on the canals in Amsterdam next week, as all Dutch people supposed to)

My plan for my seedlings is as follows:
first year: seedling cuttings in small potts, with if needed extra bottom heat and extra light.
second year: transplanting in 8'' pond baskets
Winter after the second growing season : wiring some shape in the smal trunks
third year: planting the seedlings in their pond baskets in the ground, leaving them there two full growing seasons.
fifth year: starting developping branching.
sixth year: repotting in a bonsaipot.
End of year six: Victory!

Wish our summers were hot and dry: usually they are cold and wet!
We all want something different from what we have.

I spent some 6 weeks (april-june) in the Netherlands in 2001 and know what you're talking about. Spent there three umbrellas, some time in May you had a week of sunny weather and all people took a week off saying it was the summer and it wouldn't come again that year. Otherwise wonderful green country and good people.

So 1.5 months from the 1st seeds poppin up to the first cuttings?

I have 3 vendors who's seeds aren't doing what they're supposed to do either (1 seedling from 150 seeds, 2 from 24 seeds and 0 from 150). Good thing I ordered from 5 different vendors :)
