Limonia acidissaima. I bought one today. They are used in Vietnamese bonsai. They look like a cross between Texas ebony and Brazilian rain trees. Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with them. I can't find anything online about them.

I don't have one yet, but starting with a google search I think the name you gave is slightly misspelled. Anyways it led me to search for other names such as feronia limonia or the Vietnamese name is cần thăng.

Searching in google images I saw some interesting examples. I like the bark on the mature tree. Dislike the long thorns.

I have an interest in bark texture so I may pick one up some time.

The bark is unlike any I've seen in both color and texture. It really different
