Hey all,

I've got a strange Japanese Maple with roots that are all sticking out of the soil, and I would like to do an ROR with it. I thought it would be okay to practice the technique with this seedling, due to the roots. The seedling does not have much of a thick trunk, but I am fine with that. If I were to do an ROR with it now, how much would growth of the trunk be slowed down (or would it stay the same)? I've got all the time in the world, and I figured leaving it over the rock even after multiple years, the trunk would thicken slowly over time. Thanks!
