This is European 'Spruce #17. It now stands in a very good pot by Derek Aspinall. Nothing wring with that. Well, a naturalistic tree often looks better or more dramatic on a slab. Here is a virtual of what I cam do in April/May next year. Technically this will be no problem. The challenge is to have the slab.

Walter, I love the way your trees look on slabs, but I also like the contained sense of power this spruce projects from that pot! It is a great tree!

I've always liked the contrast of smooth man made pottery with the natural chaos of nature.
I do see the potential of slabs though. The virt linked looks great.

I agree that it looks great either way but a slab is great if you can pull it off.... which I am sure you can.

Im Grunde gehen der Baum und der Fels zusammen wie Bier und Jägerschnitzel ...... der Baum und der Topf passen zusammen wie Bier und Bratwurst. Persönlich sind sie beide angenehme Ergebnisse. Meiner Meinung nach ist der Stein stärker.
