I have been into Bonsai for 45 years. However I have had little money and thus material has been pretty poor.
I have found that Mica pots are by far the best and easiest of containers to use.
With weak trees and trees with poor root balls , I use these by drilling 6 holes in each Mica pot. This allows me to tie the trunks very strongly into the pot. I have found that this helps greatly to help bring the Bonsais along.
And look very presentable as well. Why are these pots so expensive , I see many ceramic pots so much cheaper.
Does anyone know where these can be obtained cheaply in Britain ?
Many thanks.
