Definitely making the desert leg overnight would help! But the schedule (and wife copilot) dictated otherwise.

I was a little nervous coming back into Cali on the return trip, even though the ficus bonsai were ‘houseplants’ in bonsai substrate. But they didn’t even check us, just waived us through

I am going through bonsai withdrawals only looking at my crappy trees! But unfortunately, I don’t think I can make an event until Nov. I’m sure by then I will be in full panic mode about the upcoming winter.
