Never saw one of these. From the description, only grows 2 to 4 inches a year, almost too slow for bonsai. You would be happier with something that grew 4 to 8 inches a year.

You need growth to style a tree. Slow growers are only good if the tree is already ''perfect''.

Thanks Leo. I don't have it as yet either. If they send me something in a 2" pot, I'll plant it in a bonsai thimble.

I have one. It doesn't grow slow at all. It does in the peatbogs where you find it naturally but with some fertiliser it grows very fast.
The leaves are lovely and it seems to show a lot of ramifications. The truck is not thickening a lot, that might be tricky.
