I just ordered this. https://a.co/d/6WRHQQBMaybe use a 3x3 or 4x4 inch for the first year. They root really well. No prep work just cut and plant it. Really whatever is manageable for you will work best. I’d plant in half gallon containers to gain size quicker. But they can’t survive winters outdoors in TN so some inexpensive lighting would help for keeping them alive over winter.
Darn, did I buy the wrong pots? I mean if just trying to root a couple of cuttings, does it not suffice?Grow lights:

For succulents, Take your cuttings and let the cut ends dry out for a few days. Then plant and water sparingly, maybe 2x a week . They will root to seek water. If kept too moist they will rot.
