A friend gave me this little tree this morning. It is a naturally dwarf mountain mahogany. Originally discovered in the Las Vegas area and propagated by cuttings for a while at USU. They are not available commercially. This one is just under nine inches tall. It has been in this 1 gallon pot for a few years now. I will keep it like this until spring and spend some time pondering options. I don't want to mess this one up as I won't get another chance. Suggestions are welcome. You can see how tiny the leaves are and they look more like needles than leaves. There is a little movement in the lower trunk but not much. I should be able to wire the branches and get some movement there.
