East coast conventions?

Are there any bonsai conventions on the close to Delaware or tristate area?

I'm sure there are others, but on NY Ave (DC) at the National Arboratum each spring.

There is at least one heck of a sale. I've never been able to play hooky and go play.

in NY but probably out of your range as it is in Rochester. There is the international bonsai colloquim in June of this year. I've never been to it but there looks to be some great workshops available.

The Mid Atlantic Bonsai Assoc. has a convention in the PA or NJ area every year as well.

DC and Hershey are both about 2 hours away. Hmm possible 3 hours to DC. Gotta add that extra hour for the possibility of traffic.
But I will probably go to both!

Any idea when this is or when I should look for it?
I just checked their website and their calendar only goes up to Feb so far.

The Potomac Bonsai Association festival is May 3rd, 4th and 5th at the national arboretum. There are lots of good vendors and demos and workshops if I recall correctly.
