I humbly thank you for your most kind words Leo.
And yes they are difficult but once you understand their growth patterns and see the possibilities maybe then we’ll get over the “shame” of accepting these fine specimens into the bonsai world.
Again, so many years back I bought three JBP seedlings….. and collected “junk” indigenous specimens in ignorance and without means to acquire fine cultivars of high potential.(except as seedlings) Had I of know just how valuable (tender wise) I’d of planted dozens of JBP and JWP for stock to sell! Hah!
The three are still “in training” along with their indigenous cousins…they don’t know that some folks dispise them. Hey, they grew up together as brothers sisters and all are progressing toward a handsome future.
It’s their papa who was the dummy! He just didn’t know any better!
And that is why I joined a bonsai club!
