Seller had this tree described as a Chinese Juniper Shimpaku. I liked this one hopefully be able to get it into a pot over the next few days.

Slipped potted into a better pot and soil today.

Used some guy wires to bring down the leader. This will hopefully create some movement. I like this front how the tree angles towards the viewer. Removed some downward growth to show more of the trunk movement.

Repositioned the guy wires for a more long-term position. This made the front view better as well as different angles.

Wired down with heavier wire.

Wired down the left side branch, hopefully this will help create a nice pad for the left side of the tree. Might wire down a small branch to fill in the gap between new left branch and first branch of the main top.

Cool! I bought one just like it like 5 years ago. They all had that curve at the nursery in the tiny pot. I wish you continued success with it and look forward to seeing the updates!

Made some room between the top portion and lower portion.

Recovering well after working the root ball this spring. Letting it grown this year with minimal pinching. The smaller pad on the right i will let grow freely for awhile try to help create a nice pad over time.
