I started with this little guy back in 2008 as a 2yr old seedling planted by a friend and the pics are in chronological order. I thought I would post this for the beginners in black pine to show that it really isn't all that hard to work with this species if you just do the work at the appointed time for your location. Summer work and winter work is all that is needed along with the usual eye out for pests and fungal disease. I use Boons mix on all my JBPs and have total sucess with them.

The last pic was taken today and hopefully you can see the new buds that are happy and healthy after the summer work which I did around the 4th of July here in DFW.

Now this little guy is ready to go to a new home in the real near future. :)

Wow, I'm running to bend the trunk of my three years old JBP seedling. You've got there a few branches that you might remove later, nice little tree and good work.

Nice...are you selling this guy?

Yes I am, I have someone who is interested at the moment. If he doesn't want it I will probably sell it after I do the fall work on it in Dec. most likely.
