Masterpiece
A couple tiny elm cuttings I took right before bud burst earlier this spring. It was one plant growing in the mortar of a brick wall with no recovered roots. I pried it out with the blade of some old shears and cleaned up the edges as well as I could. I dipped it in some 5yr old hormone powder and threw it in the led humidity tank. I noticed a few leaves yellowing so I took it out and flushed it with half strength orchid fertilizer and water. I noticed it was a bit heavier than it should be with water and a few fungus gnats crawling around the base, so I've resolved to quit misting it so much. I'm still getting the hang of using sphagnum as the organic component . It still looks pretty healthy, so I am hopeful for it's recovery, but I have a feeling it is going to be quite the long haul if the dwarfism traits are genetic instead of environmental, (which I am not completely convinced).
