Hi folks, this is the latest addition to my balcony, its a Chuhin sized English Elm/Ulmus procera..Ive just given it a light prune and propped it up with a little piece of rock, as it was a little wobbly in the pot. I think the rock actually works, but will take a better look under the soil next spring. in winter the branch structure will be assessed properly and tidied up. the dead stub at the back will be stripped and hollowed out...

The tree was potted in spring, so just going to let it establish, light pruning here and there but nothing major. the tree is now only 10in tall and 14in wide, its perfect for my balcony as i can now only accommodate Chuhin and Shohin sized trees. will do updates as it develops, thanks folks:)

Fabulous character! The tree's rough areas are it's beauty.

Hi folks and thanks everyone for the kind comments, its one of my better trees for sure and maybe if i were to 'show' a tree one day, it would be this one. a little tidy up in winter and some wire here n there will really improve it further.

@LanceMac10 Yep, the rock is keeping it propped up atm, as tree is a little wobbly in pot. i quite like the rock atm, i think it works. it may just be in there until the tree settles into position.

Thanks all

@source Hi buddy, i think it replicates a tree leaning over a river bank or a tree that was almost uprooted or suffered some sort of trauma early in its life to cause the abrubt lean...
Ive seen similar examples..

Was this as a result from air layer?
