Eugene's Juniper procumbens

Hi all,

Busy developing this juniper procumbens to hopefully one day be a semi cascade. So i was wondering how i force the pads to grow out more? I've been attempting to cut inner foliage growth, to force the growth to the untouched areas, but it seems to mostly focus it's effor on the interior. I've read that this species is a mounding type and you only get runners and fuller foliage when the entire tree is fuller. Is this the only way? Or should i keep on with what i'm doing and just be patient (also read it is a very slow growing species)

Your have a big pot and a healthy tree. Just patience I imagine.
