I picked up this European Beech on clearance and can’t tell if it’s grafted or not. It doesn’t, but it does too. What do you think?

It may be, but it is not noticeable if it is. Certainly it merits work.

I don't know why anyone would graft European beech. They have a good root system on their own and commercially it's not that viable to put that kind of effort into something that doesn't make a difference.
So I don't think it's grafted.
