I mainly grow pines and Junipers but I also have some deciduous trees.
So I like to share one of my first projects it's a winter oak as they call it, native to europe.
I collected it at my parents vacation home in the forest in 2011.
Growing almost 4 meters high, that's about 13ft high.
I chopped it down to a height around 3ft, almost 1 meter.
When I dug it out it almost had no roots, but because I didn't really knew better at the time I planted it in a bucket.
It was nothing but a bare trunk with no branches whatsoever and left it at my parents garden.
Only got water when it rained and left alone.
This year I picked it up planted it in something shallower and looking better already, next year it's ready to be worked on.
Branch selection, wiring and carving to get some taper in the trunk.
