lol...... The answer to this question is easy.. You don't go on vacation..lol..I have mostly shohin size or slightly larger bonsai and all are very heathy.. The amount of watering that I have to do is crazy..
 
LOL, the cartoon is great!
As for vacation.......

I have developed close enough friendships with a couple of others in my club that we will take care of each others trees when someone is on vacation or unable for any other reason.

This week I am taking care of a friends watering for him while he is on vacation with his family.
