Experimental Mame Spirea

So this little Spirea (magic carpet spp.) is an experiment to see if I can keep something alive in such a small container. If it survives it might even be bonsai worthy one day.

That being said, while it's dormant now, how best to keep her hydrated come the warm months? I'm thinking a tray of water or a drip system?

Either way I'll update this thread in a few months. :) cheers.

I believe people typically place them in/on a tray of moist substrate or fine gravel. It’s not a particularly small container, but spirea are not drought tolerant. If they dry out past a certain point their leaves will droop. Any further and their leaves will not recover and they may die. You won’t get a second chance.
