Exposed root black pine

Had a work shop with Jonas on Saturday and grabbed a couple exposed root black pines from him. I don’t have a before picture of the one I repotted tonight but it was the same as this one.

Jonas has lots of exposed root pines so I was able to get some good ideas how to continue its progression.

Made the cylinder out of drainage screen and filled it mostly with large 3/4-1”+ pumice. Finally I used a little guy wire to pull the trunk down. Real happy with how this came out.

And just so this thread doesn’t turn into the same thing as my quince thread did, this tree is no where close to being anything. Needs to grow for another 10 years.

Oh and @AdairM i signed up for an intensive with Jonas in June. I know you like Boon but I’ve worked with Jonas a few times now and i really enjoy working with him.
