These were bisqued yesterday, all an experiment.

The white one I carved out of a block of plaster to make a positive, then had to make a negative to pour the slip to make the copy (great if your going to do production or it you want an exact replica of something). The other two were thrown then altered, the middle being the 1st try.

BTW, I hope you know to be careful with plaster. Keep all plaster tools separate from pottery tools or you may have some problems in your firing.

I sure you probably knew this, but I would hate for you to find out the hard way:rolleyes:

I used a sureform file for this one, poured plaster in a frame then shaped while its firm but soft enough to do it without much effort. You let it get too dry and its like filing brick, best thin to do if that happens is let the plaster loose its moisture it will be easier to carve.

Had some plaster leftover and poured into the cup, then shaped with my grinder(real job).
