This flame cracked unglazed stoneware pot is 8” x 2 1/2” overall height x 2 1/4” interior depth. The pot was hand rubbed with ceramic oxides prior to firing for surface definition and color. This finish is a signature process for me. I’ve been experimenting with it and refining for many years. The pot is thrown as a wet clay cylinder. The surface is coated with either a sugar syrup or sometimes sodium silicate depending upon how much cracking I’m looking for. The pot is then flame hardened on the outside surface and then expanded to final shape from the inside causing the fissures in the surface. It is one of my favorite processes. The pot has wire tie holes and a center drainage hole.

I can tell you first hand how nice Iker Bonsai pots are.
Quality you can feel, with an excellent ring!

If you haven't yet, please take a browse through Chuck's inventory.

Thank you Mr. Iker!

Our next confirmed sponsor has put up not only goods....but services too.

Stuff so cool..... I wish Vin was holding this contest and I was entering.
Stuff I know Vin is going to up his game for!

And This is an International Prize!

Not only is he offering your choice of the 2 or 3 pronged version of this bad boy!image5.jpeg

Made in Missouri folks.
That's fine Craftsmanship right there.

Yes.

Not only is our boy @Stickroot going to give you one of the finest hookrakes available........

After you talk about which one better suits your needs...

You are going to be talking about the pot he'll craft for your tree!

And get this...

Out of Stainless Steel or Clay!

That's huge! Thank you so much Adam!

Folks, I remember when Stickroot came on, with, "a soil everyone will love"..:p
You know even I was like...pssshht!
But something told me to not let him get lost in the hatred we sometimes display when it comes to soil preferences.
So I had his back from day 1.

Glad so cuz since then I've seen more than a few great transactions go down with Stick.

Not only that, he also offered me some work down in Peoria which I still regret not being able to take. In my world, a friend like that could mean the difference between eating and not sometimes.

A class act. With great skill!

Thanks @Stickroot !

Glad you clarified that quickly; I scrolled down, saw those two
implements and thought I must be on the wrong site. Just glancing
they resembled something that would only arrive in "plain wrapper".

Bumpin this with a note on how easily these Great People donated their time, effort, and goods to this Contest.

This is not an exhausted list of Excellent vendors you may encounter around here,
But they were selected specifically for their good nature.

So next time you think about handing a $50 Bill to the Bonsai Man in the Bonsai Van....also known as....a shell game!

Search BNUT for Contest Sponsors....

Come back here....

And find something you will actually like with the help of any of these fine Vendors.

Thanks again for making this such a great Event Sponsors!

Attention Attention....

Some of you may have been wondering what happened to Mr. Pressler.
Last we heard he went looking for a prize amidst the goodies found here....
http://www.kimurabonsainursery.com/

He's busy preparing for a sale which is marking a milestone.....20 years at Kimura Bonsai Nursery! Congratulations!

Right in the middle of it..
He has taken time out to Congratulate one of our winners with these!FullSizeRender.jpg

That's everything you need!

Shears, Branch Cutters, Needle Pulling Tweezers, and a Cute Broom to make the significant other think you will actually clean up your mess! Lol!

Seriously, the late great JKL was big on tidy! I'll never forget it! That broom is one of those things that no one ever would buy over a shiny new pot, or cutters, but it is a requirement!

What a thoughtful package of Excellent tools!

And this is an International Prize!

Thank You Greatly Mr. Pressler!

Here's to 20 More successful years!

Why would you not enter? You aren't judging so you should be allowed to enter. BTW, the Root Hook & Rake was a collaboration between Sticky and I. Since I already have one, if I do enter and win I'll give you one.
