Anyone remember the Bonsai postage stamps from 2012?

The trees dipicted were actual trees that served as models for the artist who painted the images

Anyway, here is the JBP that was the model.

It's on display today and tomorrow at the pavilion at Lake Merritt in Oakland.

That is a beautiful JBP. Would you say that the legs on the stand are too thin for balancing the visual weight of the tree to the stand?

Good point. Jonas wanted to lift it up with the higher stand. Would a heavier looking stand be better? Perhaps. Then again, the current stand emphasizes the massiveness of the tree. Without looking like it's about to be crushed by the tree.
