When can I start fertilizing my Brazillian raintree seedlings? They're about a week old, do I have to wait longer? Here's the photo. image.jpg

You may have to post this question in a Brazilian Bonsai site to get an answer. :D

I know that seedlings start out living off the nutrients in the seed, once they reach the light they shed the seed shell and start photosynthesis. This is the stage that they start to draw nutrients from the soil, so I would assume you could fertilize them now. I do this with plants and vegetables when I grow them but I have never started a tree from seed.

Any tree seeds we have growing we have fertilized like garden plants until they get lifted from the organic and then application is increased. But for your purpose I am pretty certain a normal dose won't hurt at this time.
