Hello guys,
I'd like to share my 5 years (4 of them were just mistakes) work on this ficus benjamina "Natasha".

May 2015
July 2018
May-August-October 2019
March 2020

It's been a long road, I did many mistakes but also learned a lot. I think the tree already has changed and I will post an update soon.

Best,
Filip

Interesting evolution.

You did not like the taller trunk fusion version?

The current short stump group, looks like it will develop nicely over time.

I didn't because it was very badly done. I wired the branches and the wire left marks, curved branches didn't look very natural too.

That's how the tree looks now:

There is nothing to do with Bonsai that will serve any collection better than the wisdom here.

Honesty with self.

Cheers!

So many people seem afraid to be disappointed with some future version of themselves, or can't admit the old them was stupid....that collections suffer.
And it's all in their own head!

Afraid to hurt their own feelings, but how do you grow without cussing out the old you?
