I would wait until summer. Take cuttings, put in root hormone, put in potting soil keep mosit. Keep humidity up with clear plastic bag but make sure you let air out and in, if you don't you can cook them.

I normal have close to 90-100% with benjaimanins, golden gate, green island, about 75% on willows.

Good Luck

Ficus generally root from cuttings as easily as Congress spends money!

Bubba gave you good instructions. I'd add only two things: one, use a potting medium that drains well; two, keep the plastic-enclosed cuttings out of direct sun, or you'll quickly have a termite's BBQ.

I agree, I don't even use the plastic bag although they probably promote success.

i grow them indoors, and for cuttings, i use miracle gro potting soil too. no bag just water 2 times a week. works really well for my conditions.

i have found with ficus cuttings that the slightly bigger ones take easier, for me any ways about 1/2 inch is a good size.
i have also had success with cuttings a bit over 2 inches.
a mate of mine struck roots from a foot and a half diameter fig and it is a monster now.

i generally use rooting hormone for larger cuttings through, smaller ones i have had mixed success, more so with willow leaf, they seem to not strike as easy as other ficus.

I agree, I don't use the pastic because I do mine in my green house.
