Ficus elastica

Here is a Ficus elastica I rescued from my mums place almost 12 months ago.
When I first got it, it was over 6ft tall, very sad looking and very few leaves.
When I brought it home I cut it down to about 2ft and just kept feeding it.
I think it is looking rather healthy these days.

You don't see these used for bonsai much, primarily because of their huge leaves. They can make pretty nice house plants though.

I didn't think this was in the fig(ficus) family.these are tropical house plants. don't you want some thing that looks more like a tree?
