Ficus natalensis is one of my favorite species for making a bonsai tree. The problem is to get good material. Usually the leaves are large and do not reduce easily. The material I use in all of my fused trunk trees yields foliage which does reduce making it possible to use the same material for larger as well shohin bonsai. Below are a few of my larger Natal figs which I have recently done some work on. The problem I have is that I spend too much time enjoying the trees rather than working on them. Enjoy. Hank

Trees look good, Hank! Funny because there was just a thread where someone was asking about F. natalensis. I referred them to your website for information.

Still hoping to get out there to see the collection one of these days...

Very nice. Do you happen to have any very early photos of when you bound the trees together?

Always glad to see your posts!
Hope you and you wife are doing well!
