The 2 in the back right rooted this year and are running.

I want to make that lower right branch into the first branch, so I'm letting it grow after wiring it down, and pinching/pruning the rest of the branches on the way up until it surpasses them in thickness. It has a while to go, but all of these buds emerged this year.

And this little guy that I trunk chopped on christmas. About a 1 inch wide.

Removed the aerial roots, next I'm wiring those new lower shoots downward. I'm trying a method I learned from Blue Sky Bonsai's youtube channel to place a large pebble in the middle of the pot before filling with soil. I'll be checking on the roots in late june and then dropping it back in.

Took this guy out of the ground, I planted it last summer to see what it would do. Has some nice character. Pruned 80% of the roots, and made a perlite/shredded sphagnum/organic fertilizer mix for it, into the training pot.

topsoil close up, the mix drains super well

Closeup of the trunk. Will be carving out that elbow to improve the taper.
