First re pot of the season. From a scoop pot into a nice glazed Tokaname.
This was my first bonsai. I've had it for five years now and its very forgiving. In the winter it lives here in the living room. Doesn't do too bad, but as soon as the nights stay above 50, it'll go back outside. The picture of it in the little blue pot is how it looked when I got it 5 years ago. It looks like a Taiwan Ficus, nice canopy you have on it. Did the other big root grow in the time you had it or was it hid the the first picture, its hard to tell from the angle. I love the plant by the way, but I am partial to tropicals anyhow.

Thanks Ed. I've been told it was Tiger bark Ficus. When I got it, it only had the one root growing from above the soil. there are three now.

tiger bark is also known as ficus golden gate(Kin Man in Chinese), an island governed by Taiwan. I grow a dozen of them. They're alot of fun. Yours look nice, just like my 20 year old original mother of all with the S shaped trunk. All the air layers and cuttings I get off of it allows me to do projects like trunk fusion, branch relocation, developing arial roots and creating new trees and designs. The fun never ends.
