I didn't find any topic related to this specific approach, but since approach grafts are possible and root grafts also, I would assume approach graft roots is also possible for ficus, am I correct?

Do anyone has a good guide, or a topic with images?

My idea would be to do a cut/opening on the base near the roots on the "mother" tree, put the scion (already a bend to make the graft unoticeable) on that place, hold them together and just wait to cut the scion. Any wrong step?
