I posted a year ago about my ficus nerifolia and got feedback that it was on its last legs. After taking those suggestions, we’re at the pictured point now, which is much better than before. There’s always new growth coming in and it’s gotten taller, neither of which happened prior.

At this point, I’m wondering what’s next. It’s not as “bushy” as some of the other ones I’ve seen, and I also haven’t pushed my grow light any higher to see if the plants can handle it. But big picture, does it look OK, and does it look like it could be improved using short-term measures?

Do you have it inside? They love their spring/summers outside and grow much more vigorously.

I don't have any outdoor space unfortunately. My SF-1000 grow light is at around 15% output, but fairly close to the top of the leaves.

Cut every trunk or branch back to the length you want it to be bare. Those that are an acceptable length now should have the growing tips (reddish leaves) removed. On a continuing basis, remove the growing tip any time that you want the branch to stay the length it is and have more new growth below that point.
