Mike, sorry to say that the tree is a waste of your time. I happen to be travelling north soon, so just stick it out on the shoulder of 95N and I'll grab it on my way by and get rid of it for you...

I've always known it as parvifolia as well. And FWIW, I like #3 too, with a bit of a root reduction on that long one.
Dont forget about the 95N thing.
 
My Wife sounds a little "ticked" on the phone. I have her driving up and down 95N now for 24 hours for me...

This is great material. I think poink's virt is right on the money and that is exactly the way I would proceed if it was my tree. I really think this tree has exhibition quality written all over it. It has many qualities the judges look for. Nice movement, decent taper, good branch placement etc.. Also, a nice pot in the future can be added to that list.
