So just took off this little guys first wires. Most of the branches took soon of the shape I wanted out of them. I’m thinking off giving a little while before I rewire but I want to get the lower branches to have more of a downward bend to them.

As I work on my ability to help Newbs without being mean or condescending, I think you should throw this piece of shit out! It sucks ass and will never be a decent Bonsai! Garbage Spruce!

I'm just kidding, is your Father Charlie?

Some people are wondering why I think you are Viet Namese?

MEh... seriously....beat this thing up for education purposes. I think you can find one that can become a better start.

Real question.....is that fresh bright green a "second flush" of growth? Mine are displaying a similar small "second flush" (" 's cuz I hate that term)of growth.

I think it's because of the warmer winter.

Jeez that was harsh!

id work with the top where the needles are close. create some dead wood up the trunk where the foliage is out far similar to a spruce/pine/hemlock you would find in a forest growing amongst other trees that are all competing for sunlight.
