As Stated in my Chinese Elms Cuttings Thread...

Chinese Elm are my Personal Favorite Species for Bonsai.
The Mass Produced S Bent Commercial Chinese Elm Seem to Give them a Bad Wrap to Their True Specimen Potential.

My Favorite Cultivar of Chinese Elm are These, Seiju and Frosty... Both Dwarf Varieties Almost form a Natural Bonsai.

I Have 1 Seiju and x2 Frosty 'Lois Hole' Elms Approx. 13-15 Years Old. They Were Planted in the Ground About 10 Years Ago.

The #2nd Frosty Elm I Just Recently Found Growing. It Popped Up, Where I Cut the Root off to Move the Tree to be Planted in the Ground.

More To Come...

Today I Attempted my First Air Layer Technique to my Frosty Elm #2.
I Realize These Rooter Pots are Probably a Joke Among Professionals, However I Have Them So I am Going to Use Them.

I Really Hope These Take... I Really like the Fact You Can Choose Where on the Tree You Want Roots, an Unmatched Advantage in Propagation.
