The blue glazes are very nice, but for heavens sake, quit trapping old guys in clay!;)
But how else are you going to keep him from running away from your garden?
He would look perfect with my tree dragons.

I really like the darker blue glaze!

Kiln opening day today, and I must say that I'm super pleased with the results... some mishaps but nothing major.

First off, @Carol 83, you were right. The bastard was actually pissed :)). Peeled right off during the firing. Some kintsugi was required :).

Next up is the monster pot that came out absolutely gorgeous. Pics don't do it justice.

Third is the super thick round commission pot. Client wanted glaze although it will house a pine. Turned out more suitable than expected.

Next up, the cut corner one. Walls warped more than I would have liked, but the glaze is spot on.

This next one was actually done last year but the glaze turned out shite. Now it's a lot better.

This one is made of black clay with a sunken corner and a pinch of pansy blue glaze.

This one I love with a passion. The Neolithic goddess feet one. Matte green glaze and manganese on the ladies.

The rectangle below is a mix of sawdust green glaze and orbit blue on the rim.

I'm really digging the finish on that second rectangular one. EDIT: whoops. Posted too slow. Meant the blue and black/brownish one. Really cool.

Next up, the round one with the vine. Not bad looking but should have used a thinner glaze on the relief.

Now comes a suiban that of course warped like an ashole. Forgot to prop it up.

@Traken thanks :). One more firing than expected, but the end result is nice :).
@cockroach thanks man :)). Maybe you can make Carol see the light :D. Love them too. And actually the kintsugi-ed one is my favourite so far.
@petegreg thank you! now I really know what it feels like for people that do this for a living. Sat by the kiln for the last hour of cooldown so i would be there for the opening and was as excited as a kid on Christmas morning :)).

@Mihai I reckon making even more of them will help @Carol 83 see the light in his eyes.
I think a nice little bonsai with small yellow aor purple flowers would look cracking in that "kintsugi-ed one".

That would be the sane approach, yes... something flowery.
But i decided that that pot is meant to be a rule breaker. I'm dead set on putting a pine in it. Even if it gets me banished from this forum :))).
