Foemina is a variety of Chinese Juniper - Juniperus chinensis var. foemina. It is not its own species of juniper.

As for telling it apart, once you've touched a real foemina, you'll know!

I though foemina was only in folklore. Lol.

Welcome to one of life's little ironies; all legends
and myths have/had at one time, a basis in fact.
No matter the amount of exaggeration since it
originally occurred.
Behold the legendary foemina.
"Step right up ladies and gentlemen. See the captive
foemina for one thin dime."

No Colin; we are not going to mail you a dime.

I might add that a sure fire remedy for the itchies on any juniper, but especially foeminas is a good rub down with straight white vinegar after the work. The pain and itch and stinging is caused from alkali burns. The acid in the vinegar neutralizes that.

That'l work too, but the effort might get you arrested and put on the sexual offender's list, an admirable and exclusive membership everyone should desire to join.

A guy at work just had that happen to him.
He says he never saw the lady. She told the police he was looking right at her and smiling.
I really don't know who to believe.

They were taking up too much space on my bench, so I crammed them all into a pot together ;)
I'm not entirely happy with the arrangement, but I'll re-place (and in some cases remove) some branches once it's all settled to see if I can't improve the image. What I really need is at least one tree that's quite a bit bigger . . .

Another 2 stand, the one big, and the secondary, would look great just out in front of that pot....

Just don't hide that little "character" tree...

That one is cool.

Great start!
