I'm taking a ceramics class which is broadly focused on hand construction. This is just work that I'm doing on the side for myself, but I just finished a slab constructed pot. It just needs some final touch up before it will go in for firing.

Looks great. I love the straight lines and crisp edges. Often don't see those kinds of details in beginner pots.

Hope things go well with the firing!

The above pot came out of firing ok, with one small crack in a foot. I've made a couple of passes at glazing because I wasn't satisfied with the results.

In the meantime I just completed another, a small slab constructed square that was a mock up for something else. I just decided to convert it and finished it off as a pot.

Thank you. The white feet on the pot: the feet are unglazed to be safe and prevent glaze from running and fusing your pot to the kiln shelf during firing. That's the natural color of the clay I am using currently (and what they provide us in my class). I'll need to see if I can work with a darker clay body later, especially if I want to do unglazed pots.

Re: Mihai's pot - Woah, that's exciting news!

Forgot to update the first pot. Came out of the bisque firing pretty well. I unknowingly used a couple of bad glazes - it took a few tries to get this result. It's not great, but much better than it started out, and for my first pot I can live with the results.

Completed 2 new quick small pots recently. On both of these I tried recessed feet. I am just loving seeing variation in glazes and how differently they can turn out.

A pointy oval? Almond shape? Not sure what to call it.

And a square.

Looks like you switched clay bodies too. I like the red clays, they fire up nicely.
