Letting it get a bit dry and pliable, at a good time for the growth, would be the best way to get em bent like that.... if it's possible!

Photo doesn't show enough details to be certain. Could be pollen. If the dots rearrange themselves while you watch, they are probably springtails. They are harmless little critters, that eat microbial films coating media. They are a sign of prolonged wet conditions. Not a problem.blet dry a little bit more between watering. But not so long that leaves wilt. Wilting leaves is bad.
