Currently Forest Farm (Oregon) has a number of smaller, suitable for mail order, plants of various x intermedia, and they have H. virginiana (autumn-winter flowering USA native), H. vernalis (USA native winter-spring flowering). Their stock changes regularly they may stock H. japonica, or H. mollis on occasion.
